Refund Policy
Last updated: January 2026
Roottine has no long-term contracts and a 3-day free trial on the annual plan — so most billing questions come down to the simple rules below.
1. Free trial
The annual plan ($49/month billed annually) includes a 3-day free trial. A card is required to start it, but you won't be charged until the trial ends — cancel any time before then from Settings and you won't be charged at all. The monthly plan ($79/month) has no trial and is billed from day one. The exact amount and billing frequency are shown at checkout before you authorise payment.
2. Billing, no long-term contracts
Subscriptions renew automatically on whichever cadence you chose — yearly or monthly. There are no multi-year contracts and no early-termination fees. You can cancel at any time from Settings, and your plan stays active through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
3. General refund policy
Because there's no lock-in beyond the billing period you're currently in, subscription fees already paid are generally non-refundable — cancelling stops future charges, but we don't prorate or refund the current billing period. This keeps pricing simple and avoids the higher prices that come with contracts elsewhere in this category.
4. Exceptions
We'll issue a full or partial refund at our discretion in cases including: a billing error on our part (for example, being charged after a cancellation that should have taken effect); a technical issue on our side that prevented meaningful use of the Service for a significant portion of a billing period; or as required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@roottine.com with your practice name and the reason for the request, or use the Help & support page in your dashboard. We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days.
6. Switching billing cadence
Switching between yearly and monthly billing takes effect immediately from Settings and is prorated for the current billing cycle — every feature is included on both, so switching never changes what's available to you, only how often you're billed.
