1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit, like whether you're signed in.
2. What we use
Roottine currently uses only essential, strictly-necessary cookies — specifically, authentication session cookies set by our infrastructure provider (Supabase) that keep you signed in to the dashboard or patient app between page loads. These cookies don't track you across other websites, and there's no way to opt out of them while remaining signed in, since they're required for the Service to work at all.
3. What we don't use
We don't currently use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes in the future, we'll update this policy first and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
4. Local storage
In addition to cookies, the patient app and dashboard use your browser's local storage to remember preferences (like which practice you're viewing) so the app feels faster on return visits. This data stays on your device and isn't a tracking mechanism.
5. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Because Roottine's only cookies are session-essential, blocking them will sign you out and prevent the dashboard or patient app from working correctly.
6. Changes to this policy
If we introduce new categories of cookies (for example, analytics), we'll update this page and, where legally required, request your consent before they're set.
